Rescue & Adoption
Adopting from CAT77
Our branches tame, rehabilitate and re-home many cats and kittens. When you adopt a cat from us they will be health checked and neutered (kittens will be rehomed with a neutering contract). Our volunteers will carry out a home check beforehand to ensure that the cat is totally suitable for the owner’s home and lifestyle. They will ask for a donation, which will be used to help rescue other needy cats.
If you wish to re-home one of our rescued cats or kittens, many of our branches have their own websites where you can find details of the cats they have in their care (some also have Cat Chat homing pages). You can find details of our branches here.
In addition, a large part of our work is neutering to prevent the formation of feral cat colonies.
Looking to rehome your pet cat
Our branches are kept very busy all year round. Feral cats can take some time to tame sufficiently for them to be happy to live with humans. Our foster spaces are therefore often tied up long term. We rarely have space to accommodate pet cats that need a new home, for whatever reason. If you have a pet cat that you are unable to keep, you may contact your local branch. If they have room they will try to help, but please bear in mind that we are a feral cat charity and we are set up to carry out this work as a priority.
